Who We Are
The Kamwenge District Farmers Association (DFA) is the official representative organization for farmers within the district. We bring together individual farmers, producer organizations, cooperatives, commodity associations, youth groups, women-led enterprises, and agribusiness stakeholders under one united platform.
As a member of the Uganda National Farmers Federation (UNFFE), our Association serves as the link between farmers, local governments, national institutions, research organizations, financial institutions, and development partners. We advocate for policies that benefit farmers, coordinate agricultural initiatives, strengthen farmer organizations, and create opportunities that improve agricultural productivity and incomes.
Our work is guided by the belief that organized farmers are better positioned to access knowledge, markets, finance, technologies, and partnerships that contribute to sustainable development.
